Emily Irene VanCamp was originally looking to become a dancer. However, after going to Katie's set on Ladies Room, she became more interested in acting. While studying acting and acting lessons, VanCamp was offered the role of a guest on a TV show in Canada. She starred, among other shows, in Are You afraid Of the Dark? Radio Active and Dice. VanCamp achieved a major significant breakthrough in his career following getting a role on Glory Days, the WB mystery horror show. Although the show received positive reviews, this show's poor ratings unfortunately caused it to be cancelled after just nine episodes. Actually, the 12th of May 1986-born actress had a quick time securing a new role on Everwood as one of its main cast Amy Abbott. The role she played in the film brought her four Teen Choice Awards nominations and an Young Artist Award.
